William Wegman & Jack Massing: Two Clever By Half is a book published by the Bob Rauschenberg Gallery at FSW. The book illustrates a two year collaboration between Wegman & Massing that resulted in an exhibition in the gallery that evolved over time. Jack installed a working studio in the gallery while William worked in his studios in Ghent NY and Rangeley Maine. As works were conceived, Jack would prepare and present the works made in his studio in the gallery to the walls of the gallery. Out of hundreds of works a selection of texts, photographs, objects, and a performance stage filled the room. The show was up for 9 months and occurred during the Covid pandemic, a hurricane, and political unrest.
